About End Of Summer DaysTo Be Held atCravath Lakefront Park

End Of Summer Days, L.L.C. was formed back in the spring of 2007 when a few of us local business owners saw the opportunity to make a positive impact in the community.

We have three basic goals for this festival.  First, we want to be a self sustaining festival, second we want to improve the city, and third we want to raise money for charity.

SELF SUSTAINING:  We see it as our obligation to throw a great party that everyone will want to come to each year.  This party, however, needs to pay for itself each year.  We need to cover this years expenses, and we also need to put enough money aside to make sure that next year happens.  We have seen way too many great festivals go away because they didn’t think about next years funding this year.  Everything we do as a committee has to somehow “fund” itself or be sponsored in order for us to continue well into the future.

IMPROVE THE CITYEach year, it is the goal of this festival to have enough money left over after expenses to pick an improvement project in the city that will potentially benefit everyone in the city.

This year our special project is to raise funds to improve the power at cravath lakefront park.  There is currently not enough power at the park to run the growing number of power hungry activities that occur there.  We want to help the city put in that power this year thus helping the 4th of July celebration and helping the Taste of Whitewater events let alone helping the End of Summer Days in future years.

In future years we might choose park benches, park equipment, bike paths, etc.  If you feel you have a special project for us to consider next year, please let us know your thoughts.

RAISE MONEY FOR CHARITY:  As business owners, we get bombarded with hundreds of requests for “Free Money” donations each year.  We would love to help everyone, however it is just not possible to do so and stay in business.  What we as business owners can do however is to lend our expertise to help raise money for charity and then let the charity “earn” their donation.

Our goal is to raise up to 10,000 for charity this year.  We are going to have volunteers working various activities at the festival.  For every shift that the volunteer works, they will receive one “point” per shift.  At the end of the festival, we will add up all of the points to get the “total Points.”  We will divide the $10,000 by total points (we are anticipating 200 to 300 points earned) giving us a point value around $30 to $50 per point.  There will be up to 11 possible points per each person to earn.  11 points X $50 per point could earn someone's organization up to $550 for just a few short hours worked.  ( that is one heck of a lot of candy/pizza sales).

If you or someone you know is interested in raising money for their charity organization, please call (920) 723-4373 and ask for Keith.  We would love to help as many organizations as possible.
